The Missoula Children's Theatre, the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, is coming to Prairie Players Civic Theatre for a week-long theatre day camp for students 7 through 18 years of age. A tour team arrives in Galesburg in their “little red truck” loaded with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, everything it takes to put on a play…except the cast! Camp begins on Monday with auditions for Sleeping Beauty. Once students are cast, rehearsals run throughout the week, with camp culminating in two public performances of Sleeping Beauty on Saturday, June 15, at 3pm and 5:30pm. Young actors who have completed first grade and are 7 years old will meet from 10am to 12pm Monday through Thursday, from 10am to 1pm on Friday, and for the performances on Saturday. Junior actors and assistant directors who are ages 8 to 18 will meet from 10am to 2pm Monday through Friday and for the performances on Saturday. Our thanks to Old National Bank and the City of Galesburg for their financial support of this production. Tuition is only $25 per camper for the week. Space is limited, so register today! |
