Abby Binder, a resident at the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility is a loner and likes it that way. Up until a few minutes ago she was able to live in her room by herself, then Marilyn entered the picture, or more specifically the room. Where Abby is irritable and sarcastic; Marilyn is bright and bubbly. Unsuccessful at getting Marilyn to move out,Abby strikes a deal with Marilyn. If Abby can make the ever-cheerful Marilyn angry she will have to move out, but if Marilyn is able to scare the unflinching Abby, then Marilyn will get the bed next to the window. Will nurse’s aide Scotty find out about this bet? What will Marilyn’s supportive family think of the situation? What secrets is Abby hiding? All will be answered in David Lindsay-Abair’s comedy, Ripcord.
