Audition for Shakespeare's Twelfth Night
In this 1920s jazz club rendition of Twelfth Night, the glamorous world of speakeasies and flappers sets the stage for Shakespeare’s classic tale of mistaken identity, grief, unrequited love, cowardice, impersonation, and pranks—all the elements needed for a rollicking love story. Echoing the play’s lively twists and turns is music from the Jazz Age and the American Song Book.
Auditions are September 17 and 18 from 6 to 8pm. Callbacks as needed will be on September 21 from 10am. Performances are at 7:30pm on Friday, November 15 and 22, and Saturday, November 16 and 23. Matinee performances will be at 2pm on Sunday, November 17 and 24. Auditions and performances are at Prairie Players Civic Theatre, 160 S. Seminary Street, Galesburg.
