Auditions for Into the Woods are May 4 & 5
This captivating and richly layered musical weaves together beloved fairy tale characters into a single, complex narrative. While Act I presents the familiar "happily ever afters," while Act II delves into the consequences of those wishes. Music and lyrics for Into the Woods are by Stephen Sondheim and the book is by James Lapine. Auditions are May 4 from 2-4 pm and May 5 from 6-8 pm at Prairie Players Civic Theatre, 160 S. Seminary Street, Galesburg. The director of Into the Woods is John Siebken. Bob Fornander is the music director Production dates are July 11-13 at the Galesburg Orpheum Theatre. |

Week-long Theatre Day Camp June 9-14
Missoula Children's Theatre, the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, is coming to Prairie Players Civic Theatre for a week-long theatre day camp for students entering first through twelfth grade. Tuition is only $25 per camper for the week, which begins on Monday, June 9, with auditions for The Princess and the Pea. The show is rehearsed throughout the week, with three public performances of the production on Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, at the theatre. |
