1915 - November 1 Prairie Playhouse founded by Jess Crafton

1958 - Prairie Players incorporated as a Not-for-Profit Organization.

1968 - PPCT purchases Losey Street church for a performance facility.

1978 - PPCT starts Dinner Theater program.

1979 - PPCT starts a Children's Theater program.

1980 - Mimicus - a mime and improvisation group starts.

1983 - Kerasotes contact PPCT to accept Orpheum as a gift.

1983 - PPCT starts to raise funds to save Orpheum from demolition.

1984 - T.O.T.E - Take Out Theater Entertainmnet takes theater on the road.

1984 - PPCT passes funds raised to Orpheum Project to start feasibility study.

1988 - PPCT assumes position of Orpheum management.

1988 - 2001 - PPCT produced approximately 65 shows for the community.

1994 - PPCT plays a major role in the re-enactment of the Lincoln/Douglas Debates.

1999 - Camp Orpheum...Summer theater camp for students kindergarten through High School is started.

2001 - PPCT passes management of the Orpheum to the CCA.

2007 - PPCT purchases 160 S. Seminary Street for a performance facility.
